Announcements

*new The Professional Development Toolkit, a compilation of early childhood professional development resources for State/Territory policy-makers and stakeholders is now available.

* The National Child Care Information Center has recently launched the Partnerships, Alliances, and Coordination Techniques (PACT) initiative. PACT provides training and technical assistance on partnership issues to State, Territory, and Tribal policy-makers.

* The Annie E. Casey Foundation recently released the 18th annual KIDS COUNT Data Book, which provides a national overview and state-by-state profiles of data regarding the well-being of America’s children and families.

* The Child Care Bureau releases the Child Care and Development Fund Report of State and Territory Plans FY 2006-2007, which identifies the latest trends in policies and activities funded through CCDF for administrators, researchers, and policymakers.

* The Child Care Bureau's CD-ROM, "Child Care Works: Research to Practice" (2006), engages users in examining selected issues critical to improving the quality of child care from Federal, State, and Tribal perspectives.

* The Final Report and State Data from The 2005 Child Care Licensing Study produced by the National Association for Regulatory Administration (NARA) and NCCIC are now available online.
