| About the Child Care Bulletin |
The Child Care Bulletin is published by the National Child Care Information Center (NCCIC) on a quarterly basis under the direction of the Child Care Bureau, Administration on Children, Youth and Families, Administration for Children and Families, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Each issue includes practical, informative articles based on current literature regarding topics important to policy-makers, child care providers, and parents. There are currently over 3,000 subscribers, including parents, child care providers, local and State early childhood practitioners, researchers, and Federal government administrators. To subscribe to the Child Care Bulletin, please send an e-mail to info@nccic.org including your name, address and e-mail address and request to be added to the mailing list. A request to be removed from the mailing list also can be sent to info@nccic.org.
Cluster Topic: Each issue includes a group of articles that consider different perspectives of the same general child care topic. Bulletin topics are approved as much as a year in advance. Recent topics include licensing regulations, early literacy, mental health, and child care issues in the Hispanic community.
Features: The Bulletin includes short articles, tips sheets, policy updates, interviews with leaders in the child care field, information from child care/research forums, selected resources, and other short child care-related works.
Each issue is planned in advance and usually authors are solicited. However, if you have a specific article you are interested in publishing in the Bulletin, please contact the editor (see Contact Information). A call for authors announcement may appear at http://nccic.acf.hhs.gov/index.html soon after a Bulletin topic is finalized. The announcement will provide authors with deadlines for submission. Because articles included are considered a contribution to the profession, authors will not receive monetary rewards or royalties.

When submitting an article, please send text in Microsoft Word format to the editor via e-mail or fax (see Contact Information) with a cover page that includes the name, affiliation, title, address, phone, fax, and e-mail address for EACH author. Articles will be reviewed in a timely fashion and authors will be contacted if their article is selected.
